Jan. 11, 1886 - Oct. 29, 1969

Obert Miller

Obert Miller who parlayed a small dog and pony act on the vaudeville circuit into what was bill as the world's largest motorized circus.

In the fall of 1936 Obert Miller booked his family's acts for a five week holiday show in Herrs's Department store, in Springfield, Mo.. It was there, on the third floor of the department store that the Al G. Kelly and Miller Bros. Circus came to life.

Having spare time between performances, the Millers, Obert and his two sons Dorey and Kelly purchased canvas and hand sewed a 40' by 70' tent. The following March in the small town of Galenda, Mo. the Al G. Kelly Miller opened.
